I figured that since there are no mountains where I live that I should stop calling it mountainboarding and start calling it dirtboarding.
And to think I wondered why so many people looked at me funny when I say I am going to go mountainboarding.
Them looking at me confused - "Dude, how do mountainboard without any mountains?"
Me pointing my finger angrily at them - "hey you shut up, you shut... YOU SHUT UP."
I'd also like to note that Akoni Kama's website as well has the keyword Dirtboarding listed on it. Although, he also calls it mountainboarding and all terrain boarding.
I'll take a mountainboard foam pit for my backyard. Landing on cushiony soft foam beats rock hard mayhem any day.
I was going to post a video I found that also had some mountainboarders jumping into a foam pit, but who wants to see someone get lifeflighted out of a foam pit?!?
These people are lucky, not only do they have a great place to ride, they have a great place to ride. The video shows some dirtsurfing action, with riders riding none other than dirtsufers, which explains the dirtsurfing action I just mentioned.
The rock trail they ride on would be pretty difficult, I'm wondering if it is easier on a dirtsurfer.
I was browsing through www.dirtheads.com, which is northern californias primier mountainboarding organization, when I stumbled across this young mountainboarders website. This kid is only 6 years old, his name is Daymein Hertenstein and he rides a mountainboard better than me.
I found this mountainboarding video game that seems to be pretty cool, its called sewer run and there are currently 1,943 players playing it which is pretty amazing.
Heres the specs for this mountainboarding video game:
