This week's mountainboard is the Mountain Shocker by Mountain Shocker Inc.
The Mountain Shocker is more like an all terrain skateboard than anything else. It seems it would be an easy transition for skateboarders wanting to try out an all-terrain board.
Specs:
Weight: 10.5 lbs
Deck: 7 ply maple wood
Deck Width: 8 inches
Deck Length: 32 inches
Deck Clearance: 6 inches
Trucks: single shock vertical suspension, 9.63 inches
Description: The Mountain Shocker is one of the most unique all-terrain boards around! The Mountain Shocker features a single shock vertical suspension system that allows superior performance and an ultimate off road riding experience. This board is designed to give you a smooth fun ride whether you take it on the dirt or just cruise it on the street.
This week's featured mountainboard is the 3-styler made by Exit.
Another all terrain board that compared to the 3-styler was the Outback 3 wheeled mountainboard, but Outback has been out of business for a while now. This board is almost exactly the same, it even has the stomp brake above the back wheel.
Description: The Exit 3-styler is a cross between a Mountain Board and a scooter making it easier to perform tricks. The Board consists of a long toughened maple deck, off-road tyres and durable frame made to take rough treatment on all terrains.
Specs:
91.4 x 24cm deck.
Non-slip rubber grip pads.
3 x 31.8cm (12.5”) pneumatic tyres with tubes, 8 spoke mag wheels.
Mountainboard of the Week: Dirtsurfer Flexideck Freestyle
Description: The FlexiDeck Freestyle is the new Dirtsurfer designed for stunts and shredding the carve. With its smaller, lighter frame and 16 inch wheels the Freestyle is much quicker and more responsive than its big brother, the Flexi Pro Downhill. The Freestyle is made to carve tighter turns, launch (and land) huge airs and is the Dirtsurfer of choice for stunts and lighter weight riders. The new Thermofibre deck gives more POP and FLEX for greater control and shock absorbtion! Comes standard with Artek Disk Brakes giving the rider total speed control.
This weeks board of the week is the Be Unlimited board by Beyond Boards. Feast your eyes on it's unique design. It rides more like a skateboard and it is a freestyler's dream board.
Check out the videos, they do some sweeeeeeet stuff in them. Looks like it would be loads of fun to use at a skatepark.
The Be Unlimited board opens up tons of possibilities in the freestyle world, and even offers skateboarders an easier transition to mountainboarding because it's design is very similar to a skateboard.
Hey everyone! This is the first week of ATBRiders.com, and I thought I would start a "Mountainboard of the Week" blog. So every week check back for a new board featured in this blog.
The first board is the Destiny Chaos II made by Destiny Boards.
This board has two wheels like a Dirtsurfer, but what is different about it is that in the back there are "stabalizer wheels" which help control turns.
Features include:
Adjustable deck height
Steel stabilizer brackets
Medium hard bushings
Ready for standard snowboard bindings (not included)
