hey,

I'm considering getting a new (not actually new) mountainboard. I already have had the mbs cricket for quite a few years and it is still pretty good (although I'm in the process of getting new innertubes for it).

I have a few reasons of wanting a new mountainboard. I would like having two so I could ride with people. Also, I would like to get one with brakes because my Cricket doesnt have them. I can powerslide pretty well and everything, but the reason for wanting breaks is to be able to ride some huge long trails all the way through without dying. The trail has many areas where you cannot get off or you will be in big trouble. Plus the possibility of hikers.

I just think it'd be cool to have a board with brakes.

So anyways I'm 19, about 140lbs, in college and very poor. I am doing a webdesign job rihgt now that should get me some money when i'm done.

I would like something under $100 possibly and used. I've been thinking about e jeep renegade or something like that. I'm not picky though.

SO FINALLY the main question is if anyone here wants to get rid of a board for cheap or does anyone know somewhere I can get one for cheap.

If it doesnt work out its not the end of the world

oh yeah while i'm here i'll ask, does anyone know what size of inner tubes i need for my cricket?  if not thats ok i can measure.

thanks if you read all this, and sorry.

Hey I was scoping out boards on ebay and ran into this one.

http://cgi.ebay.com/MBS-Sol-16-Mountainboard-great-cond-w-Handbrake-NR_W0QQitemZ33020837281 3QQihZ014QQcategoryZ16264QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It has a while left, so I'm guessing it will probably end up over $100, but the sol 16 is a great board.

I have to admit that having a brake is really nice when you are riding trails, especially when you don't know if there is going to be a hiker around the next curve. Would be pretty horrible/embarrasing to run into a hiker that was only out to enjoy the outdoors. I imagine they would get pretty mad about that.

About the cricket, I'm not sure what the inner tube size is.

Good luck in your search, hope the web design job pays well, I'll keep my eyes peeled for any good deals.
