MBS Comp 26x

Mbs Comp 26x Review

I bought this mountain board as an upgrade from my mbs renegade when I first started.  I decided to go with this one because I had heard that the length and weight made a more stable ride at higher speeds, and since all I wanted to do was ride recreationaly down trails and hills then this board would work fine.

  • Experience Level  Intermediate to Advanced
    Rider Weight Recommended

    140 - 250 lbs
  • Style Boardercross® and Downhill
  • Overall Length  49.60" / 126cm
  • Overall Width 16"
  • Board Weight  19.50 lbs w/ bindings & brakes
  • Deck 10 ply Power Laminate Wood/Fiberglass Composite with PBT bottom layer
  • Deck Width 9.50"
  • Deck Length 43"
  • Deck Clearance  5.0"
  • Trucks MBS Matrix™ 16" Channel Trucks
  • Tires 9" x 2.5"  MBS Striker Tread

  • For recreational riding and boardercross I give this board a 10 because its easy to handle and is stable at high speeds.  Its too heavy for anything else but overall I rate this as an 9 because the bindings and the weight are not my favorite aspects of this mountain board.

The price for this board (I payed $300) was well worth it.  This mountain board is a tank and will last a very long time.

It's definitely harder to do jumps and tricks with this board, but it is great for freeriding.
