I recently found this article that talks about a rangers experience with mountainboarding.  Bottom line is they say that riders do not have much control while on their mountainboard, is this really true?  I believe that with experience comes control, and that the ranger just like many first timers got intimidated by how difficult mountainboarding can be if you do not start slow.

I figured I'd have a go and do some research on where people get foam pits for heavy tricks.  I found this forum, and basically building a foam pit would be pretty pricey, as the type of foam you need costs more than regular foam.  They also are saying that you really need to upkeep your pit and plan to have some kind of protection against whatever weather you may face, which is common sense.

I figured that since there are no mountains where I live that I should stop calling it mountainboarding and start calling it dirtboarding.
And to think I wondered why so many people looked at me funny when I say I am going to go mountainboarding.
Them looking at me confused - "Dude, how do mountainboard without any mountains?"
