I know there are some companies out there that sell padding for mboarders, like hilbilly and such.  Do you guys use em?  I might get knee pads or at least crash shorts to absorb some of the shock.  Any recommendations?

personally, I don't use pads, but if you have to get some, Hillbilly makes some good pads. My friend has a pair of their knee pads and they are tough.

When I finally got tired of bleeding out my elbows and knees, I started searching for some good pads.  I found some nice ones from Pro Tec that have saved me a number of times.  They're cheap but durable, and they dont slide around.

I bought some beefy knee pads.  I hate banging my knees so I bought some nice EVS Big Knee Pads.  They are super comfortable and I never feel a thing when I hit my knees.
