A mad rash is something you get after taking a spill on the pavement or anything you rub up against (dirt, gravel, grass) that causes skin to rub off revealing a nice raw skinless area.

It translates well into other riding sports like skateboarding and cycling (pretty much anything that involves speed and wheels).

"check out what I got from 'boarding yesterday"

"awww that's a mad rash...."

I've had some bad mad rashes on my forearms, but I think they are pretty common in mountainboarding, who hasn't had one?

A baby trying to walk usually gets hurt many a times. It is quite common to get mad rashes in mountainboarding.
