Hey everyone, newbie here! I've wanted a mtn board for years, finally got one last week and am hooked already. I'm an avid snowboarder and skate/longboarder, have been doing both for 20 years. My wife unfortunately saved herself some $ and bought me the MBS Atom 95 mtn board. Of course it's fun, but it's a beginner board and it needs upgrades already. Can anyone tell me if the MBS F3 bindings are compatible w/the Atom board? Will I need to drill new holes for the F3's?

Also, can anyone recommend a better MBS deck, this one is way too flexy. I plan on upgrading the trucks and think a stiffer board will be better at high speeds and for tricks. I'm sort of hampered being a good rider on a beginner board now, but it's still fun

The f3 bindings should fit on the atom 95, I believe they sell these bindings as an upgrade to some of the mbs mountainboards that come with freeflex bindings instead.

As far as a new deck, I'd go for the deck that you can find on the mbs comp 95 or the mbs comp 95x, those both for sure can use f3 bindings and are stiffer decks.

You will deff. notice the difference between the freeflex bindings and the f3 bindings, especialy if you are a seasoned snowboarder.

I agree, go for the comp 95x deck because you'll be guaranteed that the f3 bindings will fit.

Well the Atom isn't really a mountainboard its a kind of long board that MBS made. If there are no wholes to mount the bindings in the board you have to drill.....

You'll find that the channel trucks on a pro 12 or pro 16 hold better when going a high speeds aposed to a skatetruck.

Matrix Trucks, Alum. Hubs, F3s and T3s are the best you can get right now from mbs. If you don't see what you like there check out GI.

As for a board it depends if you are a big guy or no, a smaller board will flexy get fast, so a pro 16..

It depends on your size and what you want to spend, the cheaper the board the faster it will break.

I say get the best you can so you don't have to buy or upgrade till the new stuff is out....
