MBS Sol 16

MBS Sol 16 Review

- 7 ply horizontally laminated maple deck

-eggshock suspension

-multi shock trucks

-8'' ariliner tread

-46.4'' in length

-15.2 lbs in weight

I use the sol 16 for freestyle tricks because it is light and short enough to whip around quickly.  I bought it for $85 which was an outstanding price for what this board has to offer.  Its perfect for anyone wanting to begin trying new tricks.  If you want a board that you don't have to worry about damaging, then this is it, as it is no longer produced and you can get it pretty cheap on ebay.

Overall I give this mountainboard an 8/10 because it isnt as durable as other boards, and over time the deck will begin to split.  Great mountainboard for the beginning freestyler.

Rating: 8/10

I used to ride an mbs sol 16.  It is a solid dirtboard for beginners, and is perfect for freestyle and recreational riding.  Found one for sale at http://skate2000.stores.yahoo.net/noname13.html, which is suprising because mbs no longer manufactures this dirtboard anymore.

yeah, you don't see the straight wood decks from mbs anymore, now they sell what? fiberglass coated decks?
